Right off itsdocks is one of the best fishing spots the Island has to offer. North Captiva Island is the best-kept secret in Florida: only four
miles long and half a mile wide, North Captiva is a Caribbean-like
barrier island accessible only by a 20-minute boat ride. There are no
cars and no paved roads (transportation is only by electric golf cart
on sand roads!). Nearby Captiva Island and Sanibel Island were once
just like North Captiva until bridges brought traffic and hordes of
tourists to their shores.
